Are you a parent or caregiver of a kiddo with a disability, neurodivergence, or mental health issue? Join us for a mid-day hangout session on Zoom. Parenting Coach (and dad to a special needs kid) Ed Center will lead a discussion about how we can shift from crisis management to thriving. Understanding and Interrupting Triggers

Do you ever feel the urge to yell, punish, or walk away when faced with certain child behaviors, while others seem to roll off your back? Do you notice that one child triggers you more than another? These triggers often point to unresolved issues, and our children have a way of bringing them to the surface.

In this workshop, you will:

- Learn techniques to recognize when you're triggered

- Understand how to interrupt the dysregulation process

- Receive tips on advocating your needs based on your reaction type

Supporting Kids with Disabilities

Learn how to design classrooms and programs to support all kids - especially youth with disabilities. We’ll apply a Universal Design framework (fancy jargon for stuff that works for everybody) to create or tweak activities that are accessible to kids with disabilities including, physical, developmental, learning, neurodivergence, and mental health. Wear comfortable shoes, because we’ll PLAY ALL THE GAMES!

Transition to Kindergarten

This workshop helps parents understand and prepare for the shift from preK to K. Will there be naps? What do we do about bathroom accidents? Does my kiddo need to read at a certain level? We’ve got answers to these and all your other questions. This workshop is co-facilitated by a Kindergarten teacher, and a parent coach to help with the transition for your kid and for you!

In this workshop, you will:

- Learn the basics of Kindergarten Readiness

- Learn what kids are expected to do in kindergarten above and beyond what they did is preschool

- Practice tools to support your child's emotional development

Supporting Spirited Kids (including ADHD, Behavioral Challenges, and Special Needs)

You may encounter a subset of children who demand a significant amount of your time and energy. These children often experience intense emotions that manifest in impulsive and challenging behaviors. Traditional methods of connection, setting boundaries, and behavior support may not be as effective with them. Additionally, some of these children may have ADHD or past trauma. In this workshop, you'll gain valuable insights on how to effectively support these Spirited Children in a manner that meets their unique needs.
